Chiajna is a small town in Romania near Bucharest. In 2012, our first mechanical-biological waste pre-treatment plant in Romania was put into operation here in order to reduce the proportion of municipal waste going to landfill by up to 70 per cent. Every year, 3,000 tonnes of residual waste are treated at this site.
