Project Fumanya

The Spanish composting plant FUMANYA was founded in 2000 with a dual objective: to meet the demand for organic waste from companies, particularly in the food sector, and to produce high-quality organic fertiliser. Over the years, the plant has undergone several changes and is now a modern and meticulous facility where the entire process is controlled, from reception to extraction of the final product. Since 2005, our GORE® Cover System has been used here, which minimises the environmental impact by controlling the most important process parameters - oxygen and temperature - at all times, thus guaranteeing a high-quality end product. Since commissioning, 30,000 tonnes of green waste and sewage sludge have been composted here every year.
